For all you inquring minds out there losing sleep thinking “well what else did those crazy Sulock’s do in Montana?”. A better question would be “what did they NOT do”. The answer to that is “nothing”. We did everything possible. It was a serious vacation and not one for the faint of heart. Here are a couple of photos in case you’re interested.

  1. Wow. Grinnell Glacier is about my favorite place in the world. Well, among the places I have been to. Looks like you had a wonderful time there. Did you drive the Going to the Sun Highway?
Was there any golfing at GNP?
Tell me about the picnic. Where did you get food and a tablecloth out in the wilderness?

  2. Dang dood. Mom and dad got back and they were telling all these wild stories about things that allegedly happened on this trip, such as you all did everything possible, and I was like no way that’s possible, and they were like yuh-huh, now I see these pictures and I realize it’s totally true.

I wish I could see more than just a piece of each picture but they’re so dangum big!

Also I am drooling on the keyboard, with jealousy, which seems to be making the computer function less well.

  3. We carried picnic supplies everywhere. It is a shame that Michael did not take a picture of us picnicing on Grinnell glacier, when Dad went to so much trouble to carry up the cooler. Absolutely unnecessary, I might add, due to the presence of ice at the glacier.

  4. When Dad carried that cooler all the way up there it was as krunk as it was unnecessary given the pre-existance of mass quantities of frozen water.

Binky, we drove as much of the Going to the Sun Road as we could, but this wasn’t very much b/c they had some massive flooding last November and are still fixing bridges that washed out there.
