Mount Dana
How we spent the 4th of July. That and eating pie with ice cream. 13,061 ft high but Tioga Road does most of that work for you.

Looks stunning! Happy 4th!
Where is that? Where is Mono Lake? How are you Hilary?
any visible fireworks?
HIKING IS HARD. NICE JOB.
WHERE ARE THE TAXIS? THE HALAL MEAT VENDORS? DOES NOT COMPUTE!
Hilary- Thank you! It was a lovely hike. Hope you all had a nice camping trip!
Mom- Mono Lake is right outside the eastern edge of Yosemite. Hilary is pregnant and wondering why the US doesn’t do paid maternity leave like the rest of the world.
Dad- No 🙁 Fireworks around here are a no go since everything is dry and ready to catch on fire at any moment.
Busy- Thank you! Wasn’t a hard hike actually. You know what is hard? Biking around Brazil! Good work down there mate.
Rebubba- Not too many taxi’s around Yosemite. The shuttle bus is all the tourists need. No idea what a Halal meat vendor is. Don’t think we have those either.
Mrs. Sulock – Michael is right – I’m not happy with our lack of paid maternity leave in this country. Although in many respects, I should be grateful I have access to the Family Medical Leave Act, and I can use my sick leave to get paid for the bulk of it; however, there are many that are not in my same position.
Nonetheless, I am dong well. I’m in my third trimester. Baby is due Sept 26th, and I’m starting to slow down. It’s HOT here. And smokey. I hope you are doing well and enjoying summer. The beautiful yellow knitted sweater you sent me is hanging in his closet. Thank you!
