Punta Arena to El Calafate

After the penguins we drove a few hours north (and into Argentina) to the bustling tourist town of El Calafate. Mucho HB’s. The plan was a guided tour of the Perito Moreno glacier.

  1. I suspect the guides are quite useful. What are a few things you found quite interesting about your guide?

  2. Good questions Dad! The guides definitely had a lot of knowledge about the area and the glacier itself that I wouldn’t have otherwise known. They also provided us metal crampons to walk around with, which were pretty necessary, as the surface of the glacier was much more similar to ice than snow.
